12 mo, original decorative covers designed by Karter (Carter?).Pencil drawing on back cover.VERY RARE. Dos Pasos was a cult writer in the USSR in 1920´s through early 1930s. A coined literary term 'Dos Pasos school in Soviet literature' was very common up to earlier 1930s. Starting from the middle of 1930s he becomes a non-person. All his books in Russian and other languages were banned and destroyed. Few copies only survived (most of them in collections outside the USSR).
