An Archbishop Ioann of San Francisco is one of the brightest representetives of Russian Othodox diaspora. He lived and served on Mount Athos, and in Paris, Yugoslavia, Berlin and the USA.He was a prolific writer and pastor who preached on the Voice of America radio network and engaged in polemics with atheistic suppression of Christianity in the Soviet Union.
Most of his works (in Russian), published in pre WWII Germany are very rare.
